Quiet & clean: Electric refrigerated vehicles & refrigerated vans
Kiesling refrigerated vehicles are available in many different versions – also for electric trucks and vans. From the first body, mounted on an e-truck prototype in 2016 to the present day, we have successfully implemented electromobility in refrigerated logistics.
We stand for innovation and sustainability in the transport industry and are setting new standards for electric trucks, too. We were already in dialogue with chassis manufacturers during the development of pre-production vehicles. Entire electric fleets are now being electrified, paving the way for locally CO2-neutral transport. Whether it's a high-voltage interface (ePTO) for connecting the refrigeration system, qustions about the range or temperature stability - we're happy to advise you on electric refrigerated vehicles and work with you to determine the chassis configuration.
Back in 2016, the first Urban E-Truck from Mercedes-Benz was equipped with a Kiesling refrigerated body and presented at the 2016 IAA. Since then, numerous projects have been successfully implemented with all well-known chassis manufacturers.
Electric chassis have different requirements for the construction and connection of cooling units than conventional diesel vehicles. Special high-voltage training is required for employees. Our qualified staff ensure safety and competent installation of the components.
The use of an electric truck reduces resource consumption and CO2 emissions over the entire life cycle. Kiesling refrigerated bodies are particularly durable and robustly constructed. Those who want to protect the environment sustainably think beyond their service life. At the end of their useful life, the materials used in our refrigerated bodies can be separated. This enables a TÜV-certified recycling rate of ≥85% and a recovery rate of ≥95%.
Especially in refrigerated logistics, the range of electrically powered chassis is an important issue, because only when the refrigeration unit is running, sensitive goods will reach their destination safely.
We recommend using our Cool Slide partitions to maintain the temperature during unloading and prevent cold loss.
Our production is already climate neutral according to Scope 1 and 2 – thanks to 100% renewable energy. Over 500 kWp of photovoltaic power on our roofs generate more electricity than we need. Through modern technology, CO₂ reduction, and energy-efficient processes, we make the production of our refrigerated vehicles sustainable and future-oriented.
With our charging stations, we offer our customers the necessary charging options. Furthermore we can charge the finished electric refrigerated vehicles on site.
Added value
PowerHouse electricity storage station
To be able to store the energy produced by PV systems for longer periods, Kiesling has developed its own power storage station. This allows, for example, high peak loads to be avoided when operating a cold storage facility or charging infrastructure. Storing electricity increases the level of self-sufficiency. Kiesling's power storage stations are marketed to electrical installers and end customers.
